Change at the executive level in the sales areas of automotive industry and cold rollers

As from July 2019, Thorsten Gintaut will be taking over as the head of Automotive Industry Sales from Dr. Jan Schmidt. Dr. Schmidt is leaving the company at his own request.

Thorsten Gintaut, who has been with Salzgitter Flachstahl since 1998, was responsible in the role of team leader for eight years before he took over as head of sales for the cold rolling industry. He has therefore gained a wealth of experience in this field, and many of the customers still know him from this period. With Aurelia Götzel as a new team leader and Isabelle Weiss, Ive Kopp and Sebastian Krüger as practicing team leaders, continuity in customer support in the automotive industry business is guaranteed, as before.

Friedrich Ellebrecht will take over the position as head of Cold Rolling Industry Sales. Having joined Salzgitter Flachstahl in 2004, Friedrich Ellebrecht worked as a project officer in logistics up until 2009. He gained experience both in Germany and abroad as team leader for automotive suppliers and later in automotive industry sales. Together with Martin Scharf as long-standing team leader, customers in the cold rolling industry as well as the business partners for contract processing and the slab business have expert contacts.

The internal replacements are all taken from the company’s own ranks, which enables a smooth transition without the loss of information.
